Honestly underwhelmed by The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Maybe it was because I’d seen the Swedish one, but this one wasn’t as powerful. David Fincher is an extremely cool director. The way he shoots and sees scenes is remarkable, but this one… I don’t know. I felt like maybe he was a bit off his game. Rather than being tight, like most of his films are, this was a little loose and longwinded.

I will say that I probably scrutinized it more than was probably fair. I was very sceptical of it in the first place, and probably wasn’t a fair watcher.
